The best co-parenting apps in 2026, compared

The best co-parenting app in 2026 depends on whether your co-parent will use it. If you both will, OurFamilyWizard, TalkingParents and AppClose give you shared messages and records. If you're on your own, AppClose's Solo Mode or DivZen fit better. DivZen publishes this page and is one of the apps compared.

Disclosure: DivZen publishes this page. Every fact about another app comes from that company's own website, linked below the table, and we say where each one is stronger than DivZen. The apps are listed alphabetically, not ranked.

    How we compared them

    Four questions decide most choices:

    1. Does your co-parent have to join? Some apps only work once both parents have accounts.
    2. Do you need messages and calls on a record neither parent can change?
    3. Do you want to send money through the app?
    4. Do you want answers from your own agreement?

    AppClose

Best for: a single plan with no tiers, with the option to start on your own. Solo Mode works without the other parent connected; shared chat, call recording with both parents' consent and ipayou payments (U.S.) are there when both join. Consider something else if: you want answers from your own agreement, which its site doesn't list.

    DivZen

Best for: one parent documenting alone who wants to understand their own agreement. It answers from your agreement with the clause cited, checks receipts against it, keeps an incident log and drafts calm replies. Consider something else if: you want shared messaging, recorded calls, payments between parents or a native phone app. DivZen has none of these.

    OurFamilyWizard

Best for: two parents who need a full shared platform, or a family whose court has ordered it. Messages can't be edited or deleted, and calls, OFWpay payments (U.S.), certified records and free access for professionals come with its plans. Consider something else if: your co-parent won't join; each parent needs their own account.

    TalkingParents

Best for: two parents who want every call recorded and transcribed and every message permanent, Consider something else if: your co-parent won't take part; its FAQ says you need to match accounts to use the app.

    Questions

    Which app do courts prefer?

Some court orders name a specific app; if yours does, use it. OurFamilyWizard and AppClose both say courts order their apps; those are their own claims. DivZen is not a law firm, so ask your lawyer what your court expects.

    Can I use two apps?

Yes. You might use a shared app for messages with your co-parent and DivZen for your own agreement questions, expenses and notes.
