A custody incident log for documenting co-parenting

A custody incident log is a dated, factual record of what happened, written at the time. In DivZen it's free: record each late handover, missed call or canceled visit with a timestamp and attachments. On a paid plan, export it with a SHA-256 fingerprint anyone can verify, which shows the file hasn't changed since.

    What to write down

Keep each entry short and factual, and write it as soon as you can:

    • the date, the time and where it happened
    • what happened, in plain words, without guessing at motives
    • who was there, including the children
    • anything that backs it up, such as a screenshot, a photo or a receipt

Ask your lawyer what your court expects to see.

    How the export works

On Guardian and Sovereign, DivZen exports your records and keeps a SHA-256 fingerprint of each file when it's created. Anyone, including your lawyer or the court, can upload the file at app.divzen.co/verify to check it hasn't been changed since. That makes the export tamper-evident; whether a court accepts it as evidence is for the court to decide. Free accounts can export their data as a file, without the fingerprint.

    Who sees your log

Only you. Your co-parent has no access to your account unless you share your password. Logging an incident uses no AI and no credits. When you ask DivZen a question, it can draw on your incident entries to answer, with names and personal details replaced by placeholders before any text reaches the AI model.

    Questions

Will a court accept DivZen records?

That's for the court to decide, and practice differs by place, so ask your lawyer. Exports on paid plans are tamper-evident, with a SHA-256 fingerprint anyone can verify at app.divzen.co/verify, which shows whether a file has changed since it was exported.

Can I attach photos or screenshots?

Yes. Each entry can carry attachments alongside the timestamp and your notes.

Does my co-parent see my log?

No. They have no access to your account unless you share your password, and DivZen doesn't contact them.

Does the incident log cost credits?

No. The incident log is free on every plan, as are the custody calendar and manual expense tracking.
