A TalkingParents alternative you can use without your co-parent
A TalkingParents alternative helps when your co-parent won't join: TalkingParents' own FAQ says you need to match accounts with your co-parent to use the app. DivZen works for one parent alone. It scans receipts, checks each expense against your agreement, tracks who owes what and starts free with 25 AI credits, no card.

How DivZen differs from TalkingParents
TalkingParents gives two parents one shared, permanent record: messages neither parent can edit or delete, recorded calls and a shared calendar. It needs both of you to take part.
DivZen doesn't need your co-parent at all. It's a private workspace for your side: your agreement, your records and your expenses. Your co-parent isn't invited and can't see your account.

Expense tracking, checked against your agreement
Log a shared cost by hand for free, or photograph the receipt (5 credits). DivZen reads it, checks the cost against the expense clauses in your agreement, and shows whether it looks reimbursable, which clause it relied on and why.
Each shared expense then has a status: not requested yet, requested, paid, disputed or settled. Record full or partial payments in either direction and DivZen shows what's still owed. The monthly summary (5 credits) totals it in a form you can send your co-parent.
Where TalkingParents is the better choice
- You both want one shared, permanent record. TalkingParents messages can't be edited or deleted by either parent, and every call is recorded and transcribed.
- You want to send money through the app. Accountable Payments moves money between parents. DivZen only records payments.
- A court has ordered it. If your order names TalkingParents, use it.
Questions
Does DivZen send payments to my co-parent?
No. DivZen tracks what's owed and records payments you've made or received, but it doesn't move money. You pay however you normally do and log it.
Can DivZen tell me whether my ex should share a cost?
It can tell you what your agreement says about it. A receipt scan or a question about an expense returns an answer with the clause it relied on. Treat it as a reading of your document, not legal advice.
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. Peacekeeper costs nothing and needs no card. It comes with AI credits to start, and manual expense tracking, the custody calendar and the incident log stay free after they're used.
Are receipt photos anonymized?
No. Receipt images are sent to the AI model unaltered, because details can't be removed from a photo. Text is sent with names and personal details replaced by placeholders. Your data is encrypted with AES-256 and never sold.
