DivZen

A co-parenting app you can use when your ex won't

A co-parenting app your ex won't use only helps if it's built for one parent. DivZen is: your co-parent never needs an account, isn't invited and has no access. You upload your own agreement or parenting plan, ask questions about it, track child expenses and log incidents. The free plan includes 25 AI credits, no card.

Why shared apps stall when one parent won't join

Shared co-parenting apps are built around one space both parents use: a message thread, a calendar, a payment log. TalkingParents' FAQ says you need to match accounts with your co-parent to use the app, and OurFamilyWizard links the two parents' accounts. If your ex won't sign up, much of that sits empty.

AppClose is an exception: its Solo Mode works without the other parent connected. Our comparison of co-parenting apps covers it.

What you can do on your own in DivZen

    • Understand your agreement. Ask what it says about holidays, school costs or handovers and get a plain-English answer with the clause (1 credit).
    • Keep your custody calendar. Regular schedules, one-off swaps and holiday rotations, free.
    • Log incidents. Late handovers, missed calls or canceled visits, timestamped as you record them, free.
    • Track child expenses. Log costs for free, or scan a receipt (5 credits) to check it against your agreement, then track what's been repaid.
    • Draft calmer replies. Paste a difficult message and get a suggested reply grounded in your agreement (5 credits). You send it yourself, from whatever you already use.

What you give up without a shared app

There's no shared thread your co-parent writes in, so DivZen only knows what you add. Your co-parent can't approve an expense inside DivZen, and DivZen doesn't move money between you. If you both want to use one app, a shared app may suit you better.

    Questions

Will my ex be notified that I'm using DivZen?

No. DivZen doesn't contact, invite or notify your co-parent, and they have no access to your account unless you share your password.

Can I share records with my ex or my lawyer later?

Yes, when you choose to. The monthly summary is written to be shared with a co-parent, and paid plans export records with a SHA-256 fingerprint anyone can verify at app.divzen.co/verify. Free accounts can export their data as a file.

What if my ex starts using a co-parenting app later?

Keep DivZen for your own side if it helps. Replies DivZen drafts can be pasted into any app, text or email.

    Is DivZen free?

The Peacekeeper plan is free and needs no card. It comes with AI credits to start, and the calendar, incident log and manual expense tracking stay free.
